Tabletop Moviemaking Resources

Workshops provide the best introduction to the Tabletop Moviemaking method. They range from two hour crash courses to multi-day sessions which focus on the craft of set design and digital post production.   Every workshop participant will go through the entire production process of selecting characters and backgrounds, drafting a story, building props and scenery elements, staging characters, shooting the scenes,  editing the movie on a computer and finally screening.  Popcorn is a great compliment to the final step.

Tabletop Moviemaking workshops have been delivered all over the world with a  participants ranging in age from 10 to 60.  826LA workshops in Los Angeles and New York worked directly with young people with an emphasis on creative writing,  workshops in Turin, Italy focused in professional development with teachers who specialize in using  animation techniques with elementary aged school children.   Workshops with community youth workers  in Dublin, Ireland focused on using Tabletop Moviemaking as an outreach tool with young people.  Each new workshop offers new insights into different ways Tabletop Moviemaking can be adapted and customized to suit particular contexts.
